The Hummingbirds are the youngest of our Songbirds. They learn to find their singing voices and explore elements of music through games and movement.

Finches build on what they have learned in the Hummingbird program. They expand their vocal range and will begin their music literacy journey in a child-friendly manner.

Thursdays 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Sparrows will begin their training in choral singing, as well as in Orff ensemble - a child-sized orchestra with xylophones and other percussion instruments. Music theory and musicianship are also integrated into the program in a holistic manner.

Robins will build on the skills learned in Sparrow. They will begin to sing simple two-part music. They will continue to explore the Orff ensemble. Music theory and musicianship continue to be integrated into the program in a holistic manner.

Blue Jay is for more experienced young musicians. Blue Jays will learn to sing in three-part harmony, tackle more complex music and have more formal musicianship and theory components in their classes. Blue Jays will continue to work with Orff instruments.

Thursdays 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Cardinal is for experienced young musicians who has had several years of choral or instrumental training. Cardinals will learn more advanced vocal techniques, tackle a cappella music and work on intermediate to advanced music theory in their classes. Cardinals will continue to work with Orff instruments. They will also have the chance to play and sing Jazz!
