What is Orff?
Orff is a pedagogy from Germany, developed by the famous composer, Carl Orff. The Orff approach is multimodal; it accommodates all kinds of learning styles. Children explore music through story, drama, melody, rhythm, speech, and movement. They sing. They move. They play barred and non-pitched percussion instruments. They create and improvise. They become amazing musicians and they have fun!
